SPP Paper

Just submitted my paper entited "Initial Measurements of Atmospheric Turbidity Parameters Using Solar Spectral Irradiance over Manila" for this year's Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas (SPP) Physics Congress.

I hope it will be accepted.

Here's the abstract:

Preliminary measurements of the atmospheric turbidity parameters, wavelength exponent (α) and Ångström turbidity coefficient (β), over Manila (14°33.967’N, 120°59.518’E) were determined using a commercial sunphotometer from 1 March 2004 to 27 April 2004. Daily mean values of α are found to be between 0.5 and 1.7, which peaked at around 1.4, while β varied from 0.08 to 0.35, which indicate relatively polluted skies (β > 0.1). Gradual increase in size of aerosols was evident during this period due to the decreased of α, while the behavior of β indicate steadiness on the amount of aerosols generated every afternoon.

If that's a movie,
Who directed it?
How long is it?
With whom will I watch it?

If that's a flower,
Where does it grow?
What color is it?
To whom will i give it?

If that's an equation,
Who developed it?
What what variables are present?
Can I solve it alone?

Answers are everywhere.
Just have to know
how and where to get them.

Pissed off

It pisses me off whenever people think that I'll be doing something not good to them... in short, madudumi ang isip.

Masama bang kumustahin ang isang tao?? Lalo na pag kaibigan mo?? Masama ba yun?? E ano ngayon kung may bf na siya?! E wala naman akong interest sa kanya romanticaly ah! NI hindi nga ako attracted whatsoever sa kanya eh... She's not my type... Kaya hindi dapat ma-treaten yung bf niya. HELLO?!

Kung ayaw niya akong mag-text, sabihin niya sa akin mismo! hindi yung kung kani-kanino a niya pinapasabi... Hay... kakainis lang talaga. Argh.

Something to be proud of... TEAM PILIPINAS

Its really nice to know that Team Pilipinas, RP's men's basketball national team, is on the right track. After having a decent and respectable stint at the Global Hoops Summit in Las Vagas, the SMB-backed RP Team soared high to placed 3th in the annual W. Jones Cup, which the Philippines won in 1981, 1985 and 1998.

I congratulate coach Chot Reyes together with the whole team for a job well done. The players never gave up even through we're down by a great margin. They dived for the loose balls, defended well against taller and more athletic players and played with a lot of heart. We just proved that with a good coaching staff, great players and proper program, we can be at par with the rest of the world... And can still pursue that Olympic Dream.

One Down, Three to Go

Whew! At last! I'm done with my review for comprehensive exam in Classical Mechanics schedukled next term. It was a slow slow review. It took me 2 months to review that subject (1 month delay)! Argh. This is the bad side of reviewing alone... Nakakatamad expecially when you don't have inspiration for review.

Well at least I can now move on to the next subject which is Statistical Mechanics... One of my waterloos... I hope I can finshed this in 30 days.

Frustration

It's so frustrating that what you thought was the right thing to do only makes it worse and a lot more complicated.

It's so tiring to stay in love if you can't draw support from the person you love. And it's more frustrating that you feel that person easily given up instead of making things work.

Isn't that I lost my touch?!
...or is it because I pushed it too much?!
